This are the release notes for H-World 0.2.9 This is mostly a bugfix release. The 0.2.8 had a serious bug in the wilderness code. If the player left the marketplace area, and entered it again, followers got lost and sometimes very weird positioning problems occured. I hope all of those problems are now fixed and the wilderness works again without problems Also, in 0.2.8 foes could die from starvation, and there was no way to feed them. In 0.2.9 hunger and thirst are only applied to the PC so the problem does not occur anymore, although now there is an imbalance between PC and other beings (only PC needs to eat and drink) Furthermore, the item chooser did not list containers (bags, belts) inside containers. This made it i.e. impossibel to identify a belt stored in the backpack. Last but not least, a new feature has been introduced in this release: - emoticon-like status icons are shown above the PC to indicate bad health, hunger, thirst, poison and other conditions. -> they are used for monsters and followers, too, this should improve feedback for the player what's going on ** Chronological list of changes since the last release: 18-Apr-04: FIX: folowers can't die from starvation anymore FIX: game is won, too, if one of PCs followers kills the skeleton captain FIX: adventuress is female again FIX: rats can bite again FIX: PC movement speed is now calculated correctly NEW: added additional status icons 17-Apr-04: FIX: fixed various problems with persistent parts of the wilderness, keeping followers nearby PC after changing between persistent and transient wilderness areas and PC positioning. This also fixes a wrong minimap area update. FIX: item chooser now lists containers that are stored in first level containers, too 16-Apr-04: NEW: new item: leather trousers 15-Apr-04: NEW: status icons can be used to show the status of the PC in the main map.
